Jeffery Redding recently published his work titled "The Pakistan Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act of 2018 and its Impacts on the Law of Gender in Pakistan" in the Australian Journal of Asian Law. Redding explores both the changes to the official 'law of gender' in Pakistan as a result of the law and some criticisms.
