Two grant opportunities with the US Embassy in Islamabad:

University of Gujrat
The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad has issued an RFP for the Establishment of a University Partnership in Mass Communication and Media Studies between an accredited four-year U.S. college or university and the University of Gujrat in Pakistan.  Accredited, not for profit U.S. four-year colleges and universities may submit proposals to pursue institutional or departmental objectives in partnership with the University of Gujrat (UOG).  Objectives detailed as priorities for UOG include the development and implementation of faculty and/or student exchange programs; academic collaboration including: curriculum development, long distance teaching via internet/DVC, exchange of resource materials and publications of mutual interest, collaborative research, professional development for faculty and other collaborative programs.

Allama Iqbal Open University
The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad announces an open competition for a cooperative agreement to establish a University Partnership between an accredited college, university, or community college in the U.S. and Allama Iqbal Open University in the area of Distance Education. Allama Iqbal Open University places particular emphasis on the use of distance education in the Departments of Computer Science and Education. Accredited U.S. colleges and universities and community colleges meeting the provisions described in Internal Revenue Code section 26 USC 501(c)(3) may submit proposals to pursue institutional or departmental objectives in partnership with Allama Iqbal Open University.
