Dr. Abbas recently published a policy brief with the Center for Global Policy (Washington, DC) on "U.S. Policy Toward South Asia: Ideas and Choices for the Next Administration." In the report, Dr. Abbas outlines key issues facing the incoming US administration and makes policy suggestions for navigating COVID recovery, India-Pakistan, and the rising regional influence of China. 

Mushtaq Bilal published "Reading Mohsin Hamid's Exit West as a World Novel" in the July issue of the Journal of World Literature. From the abstract, Bilal writes "This paper investigates how Mohsin Hamid’s fiction challenges the so-called “natural law” of world literature according to which a work of literature has to be first born into a national literature before circulating into world literature."
